Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) conveys different meanings to different people.

To some, BJJ might be a tool to stay fit; to others, a way to unwind after work.

It might be a hobby, or a way to stay connected to partners or kids.

 You might love the thrill of competing, and embrace it as a lifestyle.

 

The AVIV Experience brings all backgrounds and skill levels together under the unvaluable guidance of multiple-time world-champions Luanna Alzuguir and Ana Carolina "Baby" Vieira. For Baby and Luanna, BJJ is a life passion, and the AVIV Experience is the expression of that.

 

It is basically world-class BJJ teaching in paradise.

The AVIV Experience (AVE) is a fundamental part of world champions Luanna Alzuguir and Ana Carolina 'Baby' Vieira's dream of empowering women via Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Inviting diverse women of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds, the AVE provides the opportunity for participants to practice and develop their BJJ skills alongside two of the best females in the sport, all while enjoying well deserved holidays in paradise.

Having felt first hand the ups and downs of the sport as women athletes, Baby and Luanna wanted to nurture and promote a safe, fun environment, where likeminded women could explore and develop their BJJ skills, explore new connections, and develop new friendships with other women in the community, growing individually and collectively in this sport we all love.

​

After two fabulous years - Puerto Morales, Mexico (2022), and Jamaica (2023) -, we could not be more excited for this year’s AVE to be held in Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic.
